If you only have one day, don’t waste a minute surfing the internet or getting inspired on Instagram (aka distracted by Stories).
Instead, start planning the night before to fill your day. Look for 2-3 half-day activities you can do during the morning, afternoon, and evening. You might want to check out doing a guided 2-4 hour tour as part of your day, to help fill your time in an organized way.

Here are my top tips for making the most of a one-day itinerary:
When you set out for a one day itinerary of adventure, bring everything you need. You won’t want to have to pop back to your hotel or Airbnb.
Wear comfortable shoes and grab an extra layer, even if the weather looks good. Make sure you grab a bottle of water, and a granola bar or something for a snack. You’ll be prepared for whatever the day brings.
This is my mantra, but if you only have one day, you don’t want to be bogged down with all your luggage or extra bags.
If your one free day includes moving from one place to another, consider checking your luggage into a left-luggage facility or with a service like LuggageHero. You can leave your bags for a few hours then come back before you move to your next destination.
